The Columbia Capital Market Exchange, an open monthly capital networking event, announced today that GigaTrust, a provider of enterprise security software, has been selected to present its company's capabilities at the Hilton Hotel in Columbia, Md. on June 17.
GigaTrust, based in Herndon, Va., is one of three companies selected for the event and intends to use this opportunity to describe its unique security software solution and their plans to support growth.
"GigaTrust, with over 50 employees has a unique software solution that is chasing a global enterprise security problem," says Bob Bernardi, chairman and CEO, GigaTrust. "We have secured contracts with more than 100 commercial customers and several federal government agencies. We have established strong revenue generating partnerships with the likes of Siemens, CA Technologies, and Symantec and our products are widely used in the United States, Europe and the Middle East. What GigaTrust is in need of is additional capital to support our growing enterprise."
This capital market event is managed by the National Business Promotions, (NBP) of Columbia, Md. In addition to GigaTrust, the other two companies that will be presenting their plans are Cannon Energy, based in Maryland, and FloLogic, of Raleigh, N.C.
"These events provide a platform for promising technology companies to gain greater market visibility," says Jay Updike, CEO, of NBP. "We believe GigaTrust is exactly the right kind of company for this event and will add the right kind of jobs to the regional economy, if it can obtain growth capital."
The companies presentations will feature a 15 minute power point presentation and brief question and answer period. These presentations will be preceded by 30 minutes of open business networking with exhibits and booths by local tech companies engaged in supporting the technology community in the Columbia metro regional area.
"Our intent in holding these events is to provide companies an opportunity to meet privately with interested investors after the event," says Thomas Vass, the president of The Private Capital Market, Inc. of Raleigh, N.C. and a co-sponsor of the event. "We know that all future job creation and economic growth in Maryland depends on these companies obtaining the growth capital that they need to expand operations."
The June 17 event will take place at the Hilton Hotel Columbia, on Twin Knolls Road and begins at 5 p.m. This event is an open forum for all members of the private capital market, including asset-based lenders, venture capital firms, angel investors, commercial finance companies and investment bankers.
The Receivables Exchange, the world's first online marketplace for real-time trading of accounts receivable, will also be in attendance at this event.
